KARACHI: Two policemen were injured when unknown assailants attacked the Peerabad police station in Orangi Town on Saturday, Geo News reported.

According to police, unidentified attackers hurled a hand grenade on Peerabad police station in Orangi Town and due to the explosion, two cops who were guarding the police station got injured.

The wounded cops, Faisal and Chan Khan, were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment where they are said to be out of danger, Assistant Police Surgeon Dr Abdul Haq told.

Police told that the assailants threw the hand grenade on the police station from Banaras flyover.

Panic gripped the area after the explosion was heard. Police cordoned off the area and started the search to find the culprits.
