Air strikes kill 25 terrorists in Shawal Valley: sources

PESHAWAR: At least 25 terrorists were killed and several others injured when Pakistani fighter jets targeted their hideouts in Shawal Valley of North Waziristan Agency on Friday.

Sources told Geo News that at least six militant hideouts were destroyed in the air strikes carried out by Pakistani security forces.

North Waziristan Agency is among Pakistan’s seven semi-autonomous tribal districts near the Afghan border, rife with local and foreign militants including Al Qaeda and the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

Military operations Zarb-e-Azb and the National Action Plan were launched against insurgents in the aftermath of terrorists' attack on Peshawar’s Army Public School in 2014.
