ISLAMABAD: Irfan Siddiqui, coordinator of the government’s negotiating committee for engaging in peace process with the Taliban on Sunday called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Geo News reported.
Irfan Siddiqui briefed Nawaz Sharif on the expected ceasefire from Taliban as well as their other demands.
He also updated the Prime Minister about the demands that the government committee presented before Taliban's negotiating team.
Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan was also present during the meeting.
Talking to media after the meeting, Irfan Siddiqui said they were waiting for the ceasefire announcement from the Taliban, adding that after proper reply from TTP, they would schedule meeting of the committees.
He said PM Nawaz expressed satisfaction over the performance of the government talks committee.
