CJ takes suo moto notice of threats to Kalash, Chitral people

ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jilani has taken suo moto notice of the ultimatum to the people of Kalash and Chitral to convert to Islam, Geo News reported.

The chief justice has summoned Attorney General and Advocate General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa today to seek reply over the performance of Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs).

It may be noted here that the militants through a video released on February 2 had given ultimatum to Kalash people to convert to Islam or face the consequences.

They had also announced the launch of an armed struggle against people in Chitral.
