ISLAMABAD: Leader Pakistan People’s Party and Opposition leader in National Assembly, Khursheed Shah Monday demanded the Taliban to point out the elements wishing to sabotage the peace negotiations.
“The attack on Kutchery in Islamabad has scared the entire nation and now even the parliament doesn’t seem to be safe,” Khursheed Shah said while speaking from the floor of National Assembly here.
“The Taliban will have to identify the elements that are trying to sabotage the peace talks,” he added.
He said in spite of claims that Islamabad was a secure city a ‘weak group’ has successfully managed to execute a deadly attack in the capital city. “If the parliament is attacked, it would be the end of the government,” he warned.
Shah said it was high time all the stakeholders sat together to deal with the threat.
Although all the political parties have thrown their weight behind the government, it continued to act weak, he lamented.
