Maulana Samiul Haq calls on Chaudhry Nisar

ISLAMABAD: The Taliban committee chief Maulana Samiul Haq called on Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan here Wednesday.

During the meeting, Maulana Samiul Haq expressed confidence over the new committee formed by the government tasked to hold talks with the Taliban.

It is decided in the meeting that the Taliban committee would visit Waziristan in one or two days. Chaudhry Nisar assured Samiul Haq of providing helicopter for his committees visiting Waziristan.

Sources said that one member of the government committee would also likely to visit Waziristan along with the Taliban’s committee.

Meanwhile, Chaudhry Nisar said that the government would fully cooperate for success of the peace process.

Maulana Sami expressed hope that the peace process would move on fast track following the restructuring of the government’s committee.
