LAHORE: Minister for Planning and Development, Ahsan Iqbal has stressed on the need to construct dams in the country emphasising on the challenge presented by the looming water crisis.
Addressing the third annual South Asian conference here Tuesday, Ahsan Iqbal warned of food security in the country. “If dams are not built, there will be food security threat in Pakistan,” Ahsan said.
He said: “the incumbent government has a planned agenda under economic vision 2025 and due to its better monetary policies Pakistan is moving forward”.
Ahsan Iqbal further said ending power crisis was the top priority of the government.
