ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah has rejected the impression that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) was playing the role of friendly opposition, Geo News reported.
Talking to media at Parliament House here Friday, Shah said allegations of friendly opposition on PPP were not true.
He said: “only fighting is not the role of opposition. PPP supports government on the issues of people and national interest”.
Shah further said PM Nawaz Sharif had not made any contact yet for consultations on the appointment of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC).
“We take statements of the Prime Minister on important issues seriously”, he said and added that statement issued by PM for not sending troops to others countries should be believed.
