TTP shura, govt meeting today: Prof Ibrahim

PESHAWAR: Member Taliban negotiating team, Professor Ibrahim has said that meeting of TTP shura and government committee will take place today (Saturday).

Speaking to Geo News here, Professor Ibrahim said although meeting would be held today, however, he did not have knowledge of venue and time.

Ibrahim said Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) wanted military to leave Ladha or Mukeen areas for meeting, while the government wanted it to take place at Bannu airport or FR Bannu.

Different demands would come under discussion during the TTP shura and government team meeting, he asserted.

He added: “our team is just facilitator. We are holding meeting to finalize gathering between Taliban shura and the government committee”.
