Punjab assembly Hafizabad PP-107 election declared void

ISLAMABAD: Election Tribunal on Monday, declaring the election of the Punjab assembly constituency Hafizabad PP-107 null and void, ordered for holding a by-poll for this seat within 60 days, Geo News reported.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)’s candidate for Hafizabad PP-107 Punjab assembly seat, Nighat Intasar had filed a petition against the winning independent candidate Shoaib Nawaz alleging irregularities.

Election Tribunal after the irregularities were proved declared the election null and void and directed the Election Commission to hold by-poll in this constituency within 60 days.
