JSQM protests non-registration of FIRs

HYDERABAD: Activists of Jiay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) staged a protest outside Bhirya City police station against non-registration of First Information Reports (FIRs) of the killings of the leaders – Maqsood Qureshi and Suleman Wadhu.

The demonstrators, led by JSQM Chairman Sanaan Qureshi, marched to the Bhirya City police station and submitted a plea for lodging FIRs against DIG and one of the spy agencies of the country.

The police refused to entertain their application and advised the protesters not to involve the intelligence agency in the issue.

Later, JSQM leader Niaz Kalani announced to approach the Supreme Court in the matter and to hold a sit-down on Bhirya National Highway on April 13.
