According to CID police, on a tip-off the targeted action was taken in Sohrab Goth, where the accused opened fire at the police. On retaliation, police shot dead two accused.
The deceased are identified as Abdullah and Zikaria from whom weapons were also recovered.
Two more accused managed to escape, the police said.
