Asif Zardari phones Hamid Mir, inquires about health

KARACHI: Former president and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-chairman, Asif Ali Zardari called Geo News senior anchorman Hamid Mir up and inquired about his health condition.

On the occasion, Hamid Mir informed him about the details of the attack.

Asif Ali Zardari prayed for expeditious recuperation of the critically injured veteran journalist who hosts famous Geo News programme “Capital Talk”.

Hamid Mir had come under a fire attack by unknown armed as his car drove out of Karachi airport on April 19 after his arrival here from Islamabad. Mir got critically injured as he received six bullets in the lower abdomen and legs.

He remains under treatment at a private hospital where his condition is showing improving.
