LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif Sunday said that the nation would not forgive, if the black faces of the accused involved in Hamid Mir attack were not made public and added media could neither be curbed no gagged by anyone, Geo News reported.
Addressing a seminar here, Shahbaz Sharif said that no condemnation was enough for condemning the murderous attempt on Hamid Mir. He said that the judicial commission’s investigations would expose the real faces of the accused.
However, he said following this incident, if a photograph of the chief of an institution was not telecast, it would have been better and added the nation moves ahead by learning from such things.
Shahbaz Sharif declared that the government has no intention of imposing any curb on the media and said neither the freedom to media was given by anyone on the plate nor it could be seized so easily.
Commenting on the demonstrations being held in the country today, Punjab CM said that the progress in the country started with the assumption of power by Nawaz Sharif and enquired, “Aren’t the protesters want to block the road to progress”.
