Deluge inundates highway between Sehwan, Bhan districts
BHAN SAEEDABAD: Three cuts have been made in the protective embankments near railway track close to National Highway in Bhan Saeedabad city to divert flood torrents gushing from Manchar Lake towards Indus River, Geo News reported.

Meanwhile in Shikarpur, a breach developed in Tori Bund near Ghaus Pur has been filled after 40 day long tireless efforts, sources told media.

Breach in Manchar Lake has been eroded further, which in turn, has flooded Indus Highway connecting Bhan Saeedabad and Sehwan Sharif districts.

Now, Dadu and Jamshoro districts have not remained connected any more.

Three union councils in Sehwan district namely Bobuck, Dil and Channa and sustentative area of another UC Tilti have been submerged under floodwater.

Flooding has encircled another three tehsils Arazi, Bobuck and Bakhtiarpur from every corner.

Four cuts have been made in Larkana-Sehwan protective embankment at RD-100 point and near rail route which is close to National Highway in Bhan Saeedabad city with a view to divert flood torrents flowing out from Manchar Lake towards Indus Highway.

Flood tides have also entered outer portion of Pak-Arab Oil Refinery.

PARCO sources said the pumping station of refinery will remain safe due to its height, which is 16 feet above level of Manchar Lake.
