ISLAMABAD: An accountability court acquitted former president Asif Ali Zardari in the polo ground reference case here on Wednesday.
The court dismissed petitions, seeking the former president’s acquittal in the SGS and Contecna references summoning witnesses. A decision on Zardari’s acquittal in the Ursus and ARY gold cases will be made on June 04.
Five corruption cases had been opened by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against the former president in compliance with the Supreme Court judgment in the NRO case.
