Polling underway in PP-107 Pindi Bhattian

ISLAMABAD: Polling is underway for by-elections in PP-107 Pindi Bhattian.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and district administration have made foolproof arrangements for polling. A total of 175, 339 (male and female) registered voters would use right to vote at 154 polling stations.

As many as 1629 policemen have been deployed at polling stations to ensure peaceful balloting.

Sixteen polling stations have been declared sensitive where strict security arrangements have been made.

Lahore High Court (LHC) had ordered for re-polling in the constituency after rigging allegations proved.

Sarfaraz Bhatti of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Nighat Intezar are contending for the seat.
