Taliban attack IDPs camp in Orakzai Agency

HANGU: A large number of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) from Hangu in Orakzai Agency abandoned their camps and headed for safer places following a terrorist attack on Monday night.

The terrorists fired RPGs, hurled hand grenades and also shot fires in the air. However, no harm to life was transpired as a result of the attack.

Following the attack, hundreds of families fled the camps and migrated to safer places.

The IDPs said the Taliban had given a warning to vacate the camps by June 11. They said the district and political administration had been informed about the threats and described the last night’s attack by the Taliban as a move to mount pressure.
