Providing justice is act of worship: CJP Jillani

MULTAN: Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani said on Saturday that providing justice to the people is an act of worship.

Addressing lawyers here, the CJP said that the moment of justice (to him) is higher than thousand nights of the worship.

Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani said that the role of media, civil society and lawyers is a golden chapter in the history of free judiciary. He said if ever the independent of judiciary breached, the lawyers would play their role and judiciary will uphold the constitution.

He urged the young lawyers to work hard and provide justice to the people because judiciary is the only institution on which they rely.
