KARACHI: Sindh Information Minister, Sharjeel Inam Memon said Monday that Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Dr Tahirul Qadri kept the foreign plane grounded for hours.
Talking to media men outside Sindh Assembly here, Sharjeel Memon condemned the today’s moves of Dr Tahirul Qadri and the steps taken by the federal government to counter them.
Dr Tahirul Qadri arrived in Pakistan this morning with his old slogan to bring radical reforms in the country’s system. Later, addressing the workers at Minhajul Quran Secretariat he said the campaign for waging a revolution in the country had begun and announced to give a final call to the people in this regard soon.
Earlier, during the budget debate in Sindh Assembly the Minister said every budget presented by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is made the target of criticism but it did not stop the people from casting their vote in PPP’s favor.
He said Sindh government’s annual development program is in no way inferior to those of other provinces of Pakistan.
Sharjeel Memon dispelled the impression that agriculture sector still remains exempted from tax. “Even I have to pay tax on agriculture,” he added.
He, however, recommended that the rate of tax on agriculture should be brought down so that collections can be improved.
