Will appear before judicial commission: Sanaullah

LAHORE: Former Punjab law minister, Rana Sanaullah, expressed his trust in the judicial commission tasked to probe the Model Town incident and said that he would personally appear before it, Geo News reported.

Talking to the media, Rana Sanaullah said that the Model Town tragedy was a result of mismanagement,adding that the police and civil administration had gone there to remove the barriers and no decision was taken to hurt anybody.

He said that his resignation has helped pave the way for holding a transparent inquiry by the judicial commission.

Rana Sanaullah said whether the barriers should have been removed or not was a separate debate and the matter would be argued in the judicial commission.
