LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leaders Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Pervaiz Elahi have convened a meeting on Thursday for an alliance of political parties, Geo News reported.
Chaudhry brothers held a meeting with Tehreek-e-Minhajul Quran (TMQ) chief Tahirul Qadri at Minhajul Quran Secretariat on late Tuesday night.
Talking to media after the meeting, Shujaat called this alliance as a “Jihad” (holy war) against the violators of the constitution.
Pervaiz Elahi said consultation with all the political parties was underway, adding they were making efforts to bring maximum parties in the alliance. He said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was also not hesitant.
The priorities of the government surfaced following the attack on Minhajul Quran Secretariat, he said.
