Gunmen kill three policemen in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Unknown gunmen sprayed a police vehicle with bullets on late Sunday night, killing three cops and injuring two other people.

The incident took place in Latifabad area of the city where six men on motorbikes opened indiscriminate firing on police, injuring four policemen and a passer by.

The injured were moved to a hospital where three policemen succumbed to their wounds.

Talking to media, DIG Operation Sanaullah Abbasi said that the attack might be the backlash of army operation in North Waziristan, adding that only the police department was not responsible for acting against the terrorists.
