Musharraf treason case: Another witness records statement

ISLAMABAD: One more witness from the prosecution Khalid Rasool recorded his statement in the Special Court hearing former president Pervez Musharraf’s treason case on Wednesday here, Geo News reported.

The witness in his statement said that his job was to receive the documents, hand it over to the FIA investigation team and nothing except that.

Special Court three-member bench headed by Justice Faisal Arab was hearing the case here.

Prosecution witness Khalid Rasool in his recorded statement said that he obtained DVD of Pervez Musharraf’s speech relating to the declaration of November 3 emergency from PTV producer Ghalib Hussain on December 6, 2013 and after having obtained all the related documents handed them over to the head of the FIA investigation team, Khalid Quraishi.

Prosecutor Akram Sheikh suggested that the defence lawyer might cross-examine the witness today and for the next hearing summon for witness Khalid Quraishi might be issued.

Justice Faisal Arab adjourned further hearing until August 5, as the defence lawyer was not willing to cross-examine today.
