ISLAMABAD: An anti-terrorism court in Islamabad granted exemption to former president General (retd) Pervez Musharraz from today’s hearing in judges’ detention case, Geo News reported on Friday.
ATC Islamabad judge Atiqur Rehman was hearing the judges’ detention case today during which Musharraf’s lawyer Safdar Javaid presented the new medical report of his client.
According to the medical report, doctors have restricted Musharraf from traveling and have advised him three weeks rest due to which the accused could not appear in the court.
The lawyer, then, pleaded for exemption to his client on medical grounds which was granted by the court.
Later, the court summoned Pervez Musharraf on August 8 and adjourned the hearing.
