Kaira endorses Gilani’s statement on Musharraf ouster

ISLAMABAD: Former information minister and senior Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Qamar Zaman Kaira has endorsed statement of former premier Yousaf Raza Gilani that a compromise was reached to oust former military dictator Pervez Musharraf.

He also claimed that incumbent Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was also part of that compromise. “Why didn’t he file a case against Musharraf if he was not part of the compromise,” he said and added that the case against Musharraf was lodged through a court.

It is to mention here that earlier, senior PPP leader Fahatullah Babar had denied Gilani’s statement.
