BANNU: Four persons were injured when mismanagement occurred at the ration center set up for the internally displaced persons of the North Waziristan at Bannu Sports Complex on Saturday, Geo News reported.
A large number of IDPs were present at the time of ration distribution at the Bannu Sports Complex when the agitated displaced families pelted the policemen with stones that injured one FC cop. In a retaliatory action, police opened fire that injured three persons who were shifted to District Headquarter Hospital for treatment.
On the other hand, the process of distributing cash among the North Waziristan IDPs is currently underway. According to the official statistics 55,621 SIMs have so far been activated with the help of which 63063 million rupees have been disseminated among 17,198 persons.
Charity organizations have also arranged Ramzan package, Iftaar meals and free medical camps for the displaced persons.
