PESHAWAR: The three policemen amid four persons killed in yesterday’s attack by the terrorists at Pishtakhara here were neither in bulletproof jackets nor had the weapons ready with them, says an initial report prepared by the police, Geo News reported.
The initial report said that it was Iftari time when the terrorists attacked and the three policemen fell an easy prey for them as the victims during Iftari had not only put off their bulletproof jackets, but also laid down their weapons aside.
The reports further said that despite prior information regarding the presence of target killers around Ring Road, the policemen due to their utter negligence could not retaliate as the four terrorists on board a car fired 16 bullets on them with SMG and fled away towards Sarband.
