Heavy downpour wreaks havoc in Rawalpindi
RAWALPINDI: Strong winds followed by heavy rain wreaked havoc in different parts of the city with several low lying areas inundated in knee-deep water. A 13 year old boy lost his life when the roof of his mud hut collapsed on Adiala Road.

The Meteorological Department has forecast more rainfall with thunder and lightening over the next 24 hours.

The torrential rain though brought some respite for the residents of Rawalpindi from the hot and humid weather. However water has inundated homes in low lying areas of including Imambargah Chowk, Javed Colony, Sadiqabad, Dhok Saidan, Arya Mohallah, Katarian and Adiala Road, causing difficulties for residents.

The Met office has forecast rainfall with thunder and lightening for the next 24 hours rain in Kashmir, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranawala, Lahore Division, Hazara, Kohat, Peshawar, Kalat, Makran Division, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Bhawalpur, Malakand, Bannu and Dera Ghazi Khan Division.
