Govt. ready for talks with Imran, Qadri: Saad Rafiq
LAHORE: Federal Railway Minister, Khawaja Saad Rafiq Friday said that the government was ready for talks with Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan and the Chief of Pakistan Awami Tehreek, Tahirul Qadri, Geo News reported.

Addressing the beginning of the celebrations of ‘Jashn-e-Azadi’ at the mausoleum of Allama Iqbal, Khawaja Saad Rafique said that the government would continue persuading Imran Khan until August 13 night for holding talks instead of launching any March towards Islamabad.

Saad expressed his surprise over Imran Khan being an ardent advocate of talks with the Taliban unwilling to enter into dialogues with the government. He said that the progress and stability of the country demand halting ‘Long March’ and ‘Revolution’.

The railway minister warned that anybody taking law into his own hand on August 14 would himself bear the consequences.
