PTI, PAT must assure rallies will remain peaceful: Pervaiz Rashid

RAWALPINDI: Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid on Sunday said that Imran Khan, Tahirul Qadri and Pervaiz Ellahi must assure that there would be no terror activity in the guise of rallies and urged them to take responsibility of maintaining peace during the march..

The information minister added that the government would tackle terrorism in Islamabad and Lahore like it did in North Waziristan.

Pervaiz Rashid said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has reached the assemblies for the first time, if Imran Khan decides to summon resignations from PTI's members in the assemblies, then a rebellion would break out in his party.

The information minister added that Imran Khan, Tahirul Qadri and Pervaiz Ellahi had supported the former dictator, Pervez Musharraf in his referendum and these same people were now pursuing the path of Musharraf.

"This is no more the old Pakistan where the divide between the rich and the poor was very deep; today, common people enjoy similar luxuries as those from the privileged class,” he said, pointing out the metro bus projects introduced by PML-N government.

Rasheed also praised Nawaz for initiating numerous projects to end the power crisis and increase support for industries.
