Khawaja Asif rules out giving relief to Musharraf

ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister, Khawaja Muhammad Asif termed giving relief to Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf in connection with sending him out of the country as completely out of question.

Talking to Geo News in his chamber in Parliament House, the Defence Minister reiterated that government would fight Musharraf’s trial in all circumstances.

He set aside the reports of strained ties between the government and military, saying such reports are baseless.

“Pervez Musharraf will not be given any administrative relief,” Khawaja Asif maintained.

He said Pervez Musharraf’s case is subjudice and whatever decision comes from the court will be implemented.
