ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly & Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Khursheed Shah Monday said there was no difference between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supremo Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek chief Dr Tahirul Qadri, as both were ‘leading the country to destruction’.
Talking to newsmen in his chamber, Khursheed Shah categorically said that his party would resist any undemocratic step, saying democracy is future of the country and PPP will never compromise on it.
“All the political parties accepted Nawaz Sharif as the Prime Minister of Pakistan. So, why shouldn’t they continue to do so after 14 months,” he added.
Khursheed Shah further said some ‘people’ in PTI were using Imran Khan as part of a conspiracy to replace the cricketer-turned-politician.
