LAHORE: Governor of Punjab Chaudhry Sarwar has directed the concerned authorities not to create any obstruction for Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Dr Tahirul Qadri who is leading the ‘Inqelab March’ (revolution march) towards Islamabad today, Geo News reported.
Chaudhry Sarwar said that the Punjab government will not try to hinder Dr Qadri’s march and will provide them a safe route that has been provided to Imran Khan as well.
He told that the marchers of PAT and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will not be allowed to enter the Red Zone area but they will be allowed to reach till Zero Point in Islamabad.
The governor Punjab said that he believed that Imran Khan and Dr Qadri were peaceful leaders and would not try to harm the protesters.
He further told that Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat ul Ebad Khan and MQM chief Altaf Hussain played a key role in peacefully resolving the matter.
