Tahirul Qadri orders workers to surround Parliament

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri on Wednesday ordered his workers and supporters to surround the Parliament after all the legislators have entered the building so that none could leave before Prime Minister Nawaz Shairf resigns.

While addressing the charged crowd outside the Parliament building, he said that he had allowed legislators to enter the building so that "all the preys gather at one spot." He also ordered the supporters not to allow any legislator to leave the premises once entered.


He said that he could not control the protesters for long.

Dr Qadri said that the Inquilab movement began on May 11, 2013 when Article 62 and 63 were exploited. He said that they do not intend to infringe the honour of state institutions, and that their war is against the illegal occupants of the parliament. He said that the government and parliament of the country are bogus and unconstitutional.

The PAT leader assured that the Inquilab marchers will not sabotage the sanctity of Parliament and Senate. He instructed the PAT workers and protesters to allow the parliamentarians and the prime minister to enter the Parliament, and then to surround the vicinity to restrict the lawmakers and the premier from leaving the building.

Dr Tahirul Qadri said that the parliamentarians would only be allowed to leave over their dead bodies.

He also warned his workers against any violence against Pakistan Army personnel.
