ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Friday telephoned chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F (JUI-F) Moulana Fazl ur Rehman to discuss current political situation of the country.
According to sources, both the leaders exchanged views on current political turmoil that emerged in the wake of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) long marches.
On the other hand, Governor Punjab Chaudhary Sarwar telephoned Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain and discussed the political situation.
According to a statement issued here, Governor Punjab Chaudhry Sarwar informed Mr. Hussain about the latest developments in negotiations between government, PTI and PAT.
Speaking to Governor Punjab, Altaf Hussain said that reservations of PAT and PTI should be addressed and dialogues be restarted.
He appealed to the government to lead dialogues to logical conclusions.
