Restaurant blast kills one, injures 14 in Quetta

QUETTA: A blast occurred at a local restaurant in Quetta Monday morning when unknown miscreants hurled a hand grenade that killed a man and injured fourteen others, Geo News reported.

According to the owner of the affected restaurant, two unknown men entered his restaurant in the central area of Quetta at Prince Road in the morning when people were having their breakfast. They threw the hand grenade in the hotel and escaped from the scene.

Due to the explosion, fifteen persons were injured who were rushed to Civil Hospital. However, one of the victims couldn’t survive and succumbed to his injuries.

Police and FC personnel cordoned off the area while bomb disposal squad was also called in that confirmed that the blast occurred due to hand grenade. Further investigation is underway.
