ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader and federal minister Ahsan Iqbal on Wednesday said the government could not interfere with court matters as issue of four constituencies was pending in the election tribunal.
Speaking to media, he said:”Let Supreme Court decide whether Election Commission was conspiring against him,” He said that the government had called for formation of a Supreme Court commission to probe rigging allegations.
He said that printing of ballot papers and distribution was the responsibility of the Pakistan Army.
Iqbal said that a PTI committee had described violation of merits in distribution of party tickets as a cause of defeat in the election.
He said that the Election Commission was the authority to order recounting in four constituencies. The minister said that Imran Khan failed to produce any evidence to espouse his claims.
He urged Khan to read writing on the wall and end his sit-in.
