ISLAMABAD: Former Prsesident Asif Ali Zardari has said that he was staying in the federal capital to protect democracy.
Addressing a press conference on Friday, Mr Zardari said he had done no favor to Nawaz Sharif by supporting democracy.
The former president said Tahiurl Qadri had also launched an attack during his tenure but he dealt with him politically.
Mr. Zardari urged the establishment and all the political parties to move together as it was necessary to resolve the crisis facing the country.
