Consensus built on 80pc issues in talks with protesters: Haq
QUETTA: Amir Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Sirajul Haq Sunday said consensus has been reached over 80 percent of the issues during the ongoing talks between the ‘Jirga’ and protesters.

“The Jirga will present its recommendations over the matters on which consensus could not be evolved,” Sirajul Haq said while addressing Gaza solidarity rally here.

He said those who wore shrouds and dug up graves were successfully brought to the dialogue table. “We are making efforts to spare all the three stakeholders from humiliation,” he added.

The JI chief urged the government as well as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) to take one step back from their respective stance.

On the issue of Gaza, he said his complaint is directed more towards Muslim leaders over the situation of Gaza, as they chose to side with the Israel instead of Palestine.

“Most of us have pulled ourselves out of the war between the good and bad, and instead chosen to become silent spectators,” he lamented.
