Six killed in Karachi police encounters

KARACHI: As many as six suspects were killed in police encounters in different parts of the city overnight, Geo News reported Wednesday.

Two dacoits were killed in police encounter within the precincts of Sachal Police Station in Madina Colony when they were robbing citizens. According to reports, the robbers opened fire on police and were killed when the law enforces returned fire.

The Rangers and police jointly conducted a raid in Lyari, killing two alleged kidnapers. The kidnappers had abducted a man identified as Zohaib and had been demanding Rs5 million as ransom for his release.
