Imran, Qadri can face trial under article 6: Rafique
ISLAMABAD: Alleging that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri had attacked the 1973 constitution, Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique said the two leaders could face trial under article 6.

Mr Rafique in a fiery speech during the joint session of Parliament said for Imran Khan the issue was not about four constituencies, rather it was a matter of ego. The PML-N leader said that for the last two months those protecting the constitution were being abused.

Rafique added that Tahirul Qadri would have to accept that change cannot be achieved with violence.

According to the railways minister, Imran and Qadri wanted to push Pakistan back and the country could not afford more hatred and bitterness.

Rafique said that for the last two months the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister was trapped in the ‘dharna’ jail. He referred to Pervez Khattak as 'part-time chief minister.'
