KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement supremo Altaf Hussain has relinquished his charge as party chief and announced to shift all the responsibilities to the Rabita Committee.
On Sunday, Mr Hussain said that the Rabita Committee could elect anybody it deemed fit as chief of the MQM.
He said that the Rabita Committee didn’t mend its ways despite his instructions.
Hussain said that he had scarified all of his relatives and friends for the party. He, however, asked the Rabita Committee to run the affairs of the party with responsibility.
Mr Hussain thanked all those who had been supporting him during his leadership of the MQM.
