TTP rejects Muawiya's 'no more attacks' statement
ISLAMABAD: The banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has rejected an earlier statement by Asmatullah Muawiya announcing an end to all attacks in Pakistan by the Punjabi Taliban.

TTP Commander Abu Baseer, termed Muawiya to have been a wrong choice stating that Muawiya had presented himself as a Mujahid (one who fights for the cause of Islam), alluding that he was not.

Muawiya had announced a day earlier, that the Punjabi Taliban will not carry out any attacks in Pakistan. The TTP commander in his statement said Asmatullah Muawiya was and remains an intelligence agency’s spy.
