ISLAMABAD: In an effort to end political impasse in the country, the political jirga comprises Sirajul Haq, Rehman Malik, Mehmood Khan Achakzai and others held meeting with opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah at his residence here on Thursday night, Geo News reported.
Speaking to media, Sirajul Haq, head of the jirga, said they had advised the three stakeholders to end the issue through dialogues. He said it will take a week or two to end the crisis, however, Haq feared a disaster if the sit-ins were prolonged.
Syed Khursheed Shah said he wished the issue should be resolved through dialogues at the earliest, adding that in future the talks will be held directly with the leadership of Tehreek-e-Insaf and Awami Tehreek.
