MULTAN: Senior politician and former President of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Makhdoom Javed Hashmi challenged former party member Shah Mehmood Qureshi to contest against him in his own constituency so that the people of Multan may decide who among them is tainted.
Addressing a press conference in Multan, the senior politician responded to Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s allegations that Hashmi wasn’t a Baghi (rebel) but rather he was a Daghi (tainted). He added that Imran Khan was a simple man and those who are using him will be answerable before the Almighty.
Javed Hashmi said that constitutionally both NA seats (NA149 and NA150) from Multan have become vacant but Shah Mehmood Qureshi remains glued to his seat.
He challenged Qureshi to resign from his seat and contest against him so the people of Multan may decide who is tainted.
He further said, Imran Khan was like a younger brother to him adding that PTI has now become Musharraf’s party.
Show Cause Notice
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) issued a show cause notice to Javed Hashmi for giving statements against party policy. The show cause notice has been issued by the PTI's General Secretary.
