ISLAMABAD: A probe team has found rigging in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s intra party election and declared Jahangir Rehman as president of party Sindh chapter instead of Nadir Akmal Leghari, sources said.
The sources said that Jahangir Rehman had challenged results of the party election. They said Imran Khan ordered party election commissioner Justice (retd) Wajihuddin Ahmed to carry out investigation into the matter.
After investigation the retired judge said rigging was carried out in different forms during the party election.
The sources further said that PTI Secretary General Jahangir Khan Tarin had requested Justice (retd) Wajihuddin not to unveil the report keeping in view sit-in in Islamabad.
