Govt will be responsible if mid-term polls held: Siraj
PESHAWAR: Amir Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Sirajul Haq Saturday said the incumbent government will be responsible in case mid-term elections were held in the country.

Talking to media persons here, Sirajul Haq said resolution of the current political crisis faced ‘speed-breakers’ but added that progress is expected after Eid towards removing the same.

He said mid-term elections could not be ruled out in the country if the government did not change its attitude. And then the government itself would be responsible for not completing its constitutional term, he added.

Sirajula Haq said the efforts of the negotiation Jirga averted the danger of a confrontation and those who waited to see bloodshed stood frustrated in the end.

He advised the government to be tolerant towards the political processions and instead of breaking the mirror it should wipe its face clean.
