PIA plane comes under attack near Peshawar, PIA, CAA deny incident

KARACHI: Unidentified armed men attempted to target a passenger plane at Sulaiman Khail near Peshawar Geo News reported.

Police sources have revealed that a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight had come under attack 5am on Tuesday, however the plane was not damaged and it landed safely at Bacha Khan International Airport.

Police has also said that according to witnesses 4 attackers were seen escaping from Sulaiman Khail to Khyber Agency. Eye witnesses also said that the attackers were armed with hand grenades and sub machine guns(SMG).

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) spokesperson has denied any firing incident on a PIA flight in Peshawar.

According to the PIA spokesperson the flight had arrived in Peshawar from Abu Dhabi and has now departed for Riyadh.

Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) spokesperson has also denied any such incident stating that there has been no report of any firing incident on any flight at Peshawar.
