LAHORE: Former president and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari has said that he was protecting democracy and not PM Nawaz Sharif, Geo News reported.
Addressing party workers of Rawalpindi division, Asif Zardari said: “People’s Party is Punjab and Punjab is PPP.”
The former president said he threw Gen. (retd) Pervez Musharraf out of politics like hair is removed from the butter.
He asked party workers to enjoy fight of two wrestlers without getting involved in it.
“Being a former president, several secrets are buried in my heart and if revealed there will be a storm,” Zardari claimed.
